Filter Cartridge Installation and Operation Manual

Before installation, please read!!! You are purchasing a high-quality PS type filter cartridge. Before installation and operation, please read the Filter Cartridge Installation and Operation Manual.

Filter Cartridge Installation If the filter cartridge comes with flange covers, plugs, protective covers, etc., remove them during installation.
Warning: Do not attempt to remove the filter cartridge cover unless the anchor bolts are securely fastened or the cartridge is locked, as this may cause weight imbalance and pose a risk!

Filter Cartridge Installation Please note the following:

  • 1. Do not use the lifting column device to rotate the flat cover until the anchor bolts are securely fastened.
  • 2. The filter cartridge has undergone hydraulic testing before leaving the factory. Before installation, confirm that the inlet and outlet positions are correct, there is no reverse installation, and the bottom space of the cartridge is a clear liquid space.
  • 3. If the filter cartridge is installed in a new system, first measure whether the system piping and installation dimensions match those on the drawings.
  • 4. Remove the outer packaging of the filter cartridge, as well as protective covers and all protective components on the inlet and outlet.
  • 5. Place the filter cartridge in the installation position and check the location of the drain port and exhaust port. Ensure there is sufficient space to rotate and open the filter cartridge cover and install the filter element.
  • 6. Install the piping and necessary
accessories such as pressure gauges, plugs, or other system components. After installing the filter cartridge or before system operation, perform necessary cleaning of the filter cartridge and piping.

Installation and Replacement Guidelines for Filter Cartridges:

Do not install filter cartridges during transportation. Before equipment operation, ensure the correct filter cartridge is properly installed. Prior to opening the cartridge, ensure internal pressure has been released and all inlet/outlet valves are securely closed.

  • 1. Loosen the bolts on the cartridge housing.
  • 2. For cartridge with lifting column, open the cover by rotating the handle.
  • 3. Rotate the cover in any direction to facilitate filter cartridge installation.

  • 1. Insert the filter rod into the positioning post of the filter cartridge’s perforated plate, ensuring it is firmly seated without shaking (see Figure 1).
  • 2. Position the filter cartridge through the filter rod.
  • 3. Install the spring seal assembly (comprising the sealing cup, spring, and adjustment cover) on the upper part of the filter cartridge to ensure airtight sealing (see Figure 2).
When selecting long filter cartridges (10 “, 20”, 30 “, or 40”), be sure to remove the adjustment cover!!! (Refer to Figure 3).
  • 4. Repeat the above steps to install other filter cartridges.

Replacing the filter cartridge is a good time to thoroughly remove the sludge and debris that have accumulated at the bottom. At the same time, inspect the lid gasket; if there are signs of damage, replace it. When cleaning the filter, the inner wall of the cartridge should also be cleaned. After cleaning, make sure the clean-liquid chamber remains clean.

Wear parts replacement: For the seals, gaskets, and other cartridge accessories, it is recommended to replace them regularly. For information on the sizes, part numbers, and other details of these accessories, please contact your agent/distributor.
